Anchor Point Restaurant & Bar
On the ground floor you will find our restaurant, Anchor Point. We are open daily and serve delicious meals and selected wines. The sundowner deck is an insider tip in Swakopmund!

Our restaurant is named after the last remains of a radio transmitter which can be seen from the restaurant deck. We renovated and maintain the transmitter because of it's historic importance to Swakopmund.
Building for these anchor points, beautifully designed and constructed, commenced in 1911 and held the guy ropes for an 86 meter high radio aerial. With the transmitters in Lüderitzbucht and Windhoek, this transmitter formed a link in a radio network which included Berlin. When war broke out in 1914 and Union troops invaded South West Africa, the Germans feared that the transmitter would fall into enemy hands and be used against them. The transmitter and mast were thus demolished, however, this did not stop the “Armadale Castle”, a British war ship, from shelling the area on the 14th September 1914, with little or no further damage being done.

Our Roof Terrace & Swimming Pool
On the fifth floor you will find our roof terrace with a small swimming pool and breathtaking 360° views over the city, the Swakop River, the dunes and the Atlantic Ocean.
Due to safety hazard reasons, the usage of our swimming pool and roof terrace are limited from early morning till nightfall (after sunset)
No children under the age of 16 years are allowed on the roof terrace without adult supervision.
24h Reception
Our reception is open 24 hours, 365 days a year. Full reception services are available from 7h00 until 22h00! Accounting issues, special services and requests can be requested during this time. If you would like to check out earlier, please make use of our express checkout service.
From 22h00 until 07h00 we have a night porter available. You can call the reception from your room phone with the speed dial “9”, from outside please dial 064 417710.
Activity Reservation Service
Swakomund and the surrounding area offer a variety of interesting activities so whether on land, at sea or in the air,there is certainly something for everyone! We are happy to help you decide what to do and will even book the activity for you. We'll ensure that pick up and drop off is at the hotel for your convenience.
